Another important item to increase your focus is to get enough rest. Some people will work into the night thinking their output will increase. This is often untrue as the next day there will be less energy and attention decrease our output aka productivity.
Exercise can also help increase your energy levels and focus. The immediate rush after a reasonable workout can be channeled into your next project or goal for the days. This is why many people will go to the gym during their lunch break. It gives them the needed boost to get through the afternoon.
Eating well is another factor. There are also conflicting opinions on the value of coffee. A moderate consumption is often helpful for many individuals. There are some studies out there that confirm the effectiveness of coffee on attention spans.
